Astronomical Observatory in Lubomir will be endowed by the Rural Wings D-Star satellite internet
On November 14, 2007, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University and the President of the Foundation have signed an agreement on cooperation in establishing a pilot satellite internet station in the Astronomical Observatory on Mt. Lubomir (904 m a.s.l.) in Wiśniowa Municipality, Malopolskie Voivodship, 70 kilometers South-East from Krakow in Beskidy Mountains. The Observatory will provide both, on-site and on-line access to its 50 cm refractor to students and schools. This will be the third pilot station of the Rural Wings project in Poland.
