Professor Henryk Zygmunt, the Chairman of the Foundation’s Council, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2015.

OBITUARY

With a deep sadness we announce that Professor Henryk Zygmunt passed away peacefully on April 22, 2015. Since June 1995 he had been the Chairman of the Foundation’s Council, serving actively till recently the whole Progress and Business community.

Professor Zygmunt was born on January 6, 1929 in Wojnicz, Poland. After getting his M.Sc. in from the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice in 1951 and the PhD in Electrical Engineering from the AGH University of Science and Technology in 1969, he had been a Professor and Director of the Energoelectronics Laboratory at the AGH. Late professor Zygmunt authored over 200 scientific publications, books and patents.

The funeral service will take place at the Rakowicki Cementary in Kraków on April 29, 2015 at 1:40PM
