SoRuraLL! Rurall Social Networking for Lifelong Learning

Implementation period: 2009 - 2010

Project No 143680-LLP-1-2008-1-GR-KA3-KA3MP within the contract No - 2008-4834/001-001 coofinanced from European Commission funds within Transversal Programme KA3 ICT in the framework of the LifeLongLearning Programme 2007-2013, implemented apart from Poland in Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain and Ireland.

The aim of this project was investigate the potential for enhanced lifelong learning offered by social networking tools and platforms to those living in geographically and socio-economically disadvantaged rural areas. Experimental learning approaches were developed and implemented, examining the potential offered by these new trends and tools for the alleviation of the disadvantage suffered by such populations in Europe through the enhancement of opportunities for effective and meaningful lifelong learning. Several technological solutions were tried in the various sectors of lifelong learning, both formal (school, higher education, VET, adult education) and informal.

In Poland the project was implemented in the Raba Wyżna Telecenter and in the District Complex No 9 of Schools the name of Maria Dąbrowska in Kęty for surrounding villages
